Heads up! STV and SWTV

July 6, 2010
Hullo All,
I am told that BBC Scotland will interview on Tuesday afternoon, then air footage on “Reporting Scotland” News TV from 6.30 p.m. on Wednesday evening.

They are also hoping to broadcast on BBC Radio Scotland “NewsDrive” which airs from 4 to 6 p.m.
Summary of Scottish TV and radio coverage due for Wednesday 7th July (the 70th anniversary of the Penhale Camp bombing)
  • BBC Radio Scotland, “Newsdrive” Programme 4 to 6 p.m.
  • STV News Programme from 6 p.m.
  • BBC TV “Reporting Scotland” from 6.30 p.m.
STV are right now in talks with Grenada, Central TV, and some Welsh stations, etc. to see if they want the feed too.

ITV Wales are picking up the Penhale story, and adapting it to give a Welsh slant.
It too will probably air tomorrow, Wednesday.

Note that we have only four sets of relatives remaining out of the initial 22 to make any contact with.

  • Three of these are the Welshmen, (Thomas Edward Charles Evans, Arthur Tysilis Jones, John Samuel O’Sullivan), who are proving resistant to all efforts to find their relatives. Perhaps ITV Wales will have better luck!

  • Also missing are the relatives of Clarence Harrison, of Nottingham.
